QuickTip Video: Copying a project elements path to the Clipboard in Eclipse

In this quick tip video I show how you can easily copy a path from the Eclipse project to the clipboard and then use it. In the video I show how you can install features and plugins from an Eclipse Update Site project into Lotus Notes. I use this method all of the time to test out my plugins and site.

  1. I always ‘debug’ my Eclipse project in Domino Designer for testing and also you can change your code and test the changes live right away. I think that is much faster than install / uninstall your plugins all the time.

  2. Yes that is true but you have to test the build and update site eventually. The biggest issues I see are not including files in the build.properties. Testing your features, plugins and dependencies are very important also.
